It is a great club from the top down. Everyone in and around the squad is welcoming, creating a fantastic atmosphere for competitive and social rugby.
After a few injury-induced years out of the game, I was keen to give rugby another try before I resigned my joints to the scrapheap. West London was the team closest to me, and once I had come to one training session, I knew it was the club for me.
I played rugby growing up in Hertfordshire and at University but had to take an extended break for a few years after dislocating my shoulder and repeatedly tearing my calf. Time and life have necessitated a position change as I am no longer as spry as I once was.
From the rugby, the laughs and trips to the pub and back, it has been an infectiously joyous experience. Once you're a cowboy, you're a cowboy for life. There's nothing quite like it.
Amazing people, great laughs, good rugby. What more could anyone ask for?
